    Hi,

    I have a layout problem with the BuddyPress pages.

    One of the page "activity" ? has a full width layout and the right sidebar is pushed below the content area and I don't know how to change that.

    When on the admin page side, the "appearance" box isn't displayed and I can't choose the content / sidebar right layout.

    The strange thing is that all "buddyPress" pages are missing this "appearance box" and some are full width content, some are correctly content / sidebar-right.

    I am not even sure that the activity page is the correct page I should work on ?

    I attached a screen shot and I give you access in a following private message.

    Thanks a lot for your help.

    Hello, ComLeads

    Good day, I hope that you are doing well. Also, thank you very much for your continued patience and I hope you had an awesome weekend.

    First of all, thank you very much for providing me your 'WordPress Administrator' account and allowing me to access your site. A while ago, I had visited your site, and seen the problem.

    I would like to ask these questions below because I had checked the 'HTML' of the page using 'Google Developer Tool' and seen that the container of the sidebar is not on its right position.

    1. Have you modified the 'Layout' of Thrive?
    2. Have you modified the 'Core Files' of Thrive that handles the display of the full-width layout?
    3. If yes, can you please guide me what files did you changed.

    For the 'Appearance Box' widget in your 'WordPress Dashboard' it seems that we had overlooked that part. I will report this issue in our team and see if we can add this in the next update of Thrive.

    Thank you very much for your kind cooperation, and I will be patiently waiting for your kind reply.

    All the Best,
    Jasper

    Hi,

    Thanks for your return.

    The only thing I change with you in the core files is the canvas template file to add the "comment" area that was missing on the page. You gave me the instructions.

    I played more with the CSS, all changes are in appearance / personalised / css additional. Mostly I worked on the header and footer layout.

    Can you tell me the name of the page that is called for the activity page of buddypress ? Only this one has a problem.

    Thanks a lot for your help.

    Best Regards

    Hi,

    Could you explain what you mean by the Thrive theme ? Do you want the whole thrive folder or only some of the files ?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello, ComLeads

    A pleasant morning to you, and I hope that you are having a great day.

    All you need to do is to 'ZIP' the whole folder of Thrive for you to be able to send the whole folder to me.

    Here is a link that will demonstrate to you on how to 'ZIP' a folder (http://www.wikihow.com/Zip-Files-Together).

    Also, here is a video tutorial on how to 'ZIP' a folder:

    I hope I had clarified your concerns and I will be patiently waiting for your kind reply.

    Hello, ComLeads

    A pleasant morning to you, and I hope that you are having a great day.

    First of all, thank you very much for your continued cooperation. A while ago, I had tested the 'Thrive' theme that you had provided and everything is working very well on my end. So I logged-in to your site and deactivated your plugin one at a time and discovered the cause of the problem.

    The issue was caused by your 'Visual Composer' plugin, I would advise you to please kindly update your current version of 'Visual Composer' plugin and see if it fixes the problem.

    Here is how to update your 'Visual Composer' plugin.

    Hello,

    I followed your instructions and deactivated / deleted the Visual Composer plugin. (I had already done it a few weeks earlier and the one I installed was the same version, no update).

    My problem is that I am not asked to install the new plugin. I try to disconnect, refresh etc, no notification. So how can I reinstall it, my website design is down with VC missing and I can not work anymore.

    All the best.

    Hello, ComLeads

    A pleasant morning to you, and I hope that you are having a great day.

    A while ago, I had updated your 'Visual Composer' plugin to its latest version, but the problem remains. However, I had decided to create a solution for you by using the simple 'Code Snippet' below.

    Please follow my instructions below to fix the problem:

    • Go to your 'wp-content' > 'themes' > 'thrive' folder.
    • In your 'thrive' folder, go to the 'inc' folder then open 'extras.php' file.
    • Inside 'extras.php' file scroll down to the bottom.
    • Copy this line of 'code' below and paste it in your 'extras.php' file.
    • Finally, save your changes.
    add_filter( 'wp_footer', 'thrive_activity_sidebar_solution');
    function thrive_activity_sidebar_solution()
    {
        if ( bp_is_activity_directory() ) { ?>
            <script type="text/javascript">
                jQuery(document).ready(function($){
                    "use strict";
                    $("#content-right-col").insertAfter("#content-left-col");
                });
            </script>
        <?php
        }
    }

    Please let me know if this worked and I hope I had assisted you very well.

    All the Best,
    Jasper

    Hi,

    Thanks for reinstalling the VC.

    I followed your instructions and it did'nt change.

    I wish I could know which page is it as it's the only one affected. If I inspect, I see that the col "sidebar" is not included in the main content frame and so automatically goes after the container id "page-row".

    How to change the wrong layout ? Which model page is it ? Can I just redo it ?

    Thanks for your help

    Hello, ComLeads

    Good day, I hope that you are doing well.

    Yes, I have seen that the issue is that the '#content-right-col' in not contained in the 'page-row' and that is why I had provide you the 'Code Snippet' below to fixed your problem. A while ago, I had visited your site and had checked your 'Activity Stream' page and saw that the 'Code Snippet'  which I had provided has been applied in your page.

    See screenshot:
