BuddyPress Email not Sending
One of the common things that site owners experience when setting up BuddyPress for the first time is about user activation email that is not sending properly. There are of course numerous ways on how to address this problem.
The first thing to be aware of is that emails are sometimes sent to 'spam' folders. In this case, the user should check his/her spam folder first. If no email is sent, then there must be a problem with your Mail Server SMTP or POSTFIX.
The first thing I would do is try to correct the SMTP settings of my 'WordPress.' Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ and configure the settings properly, talk to your web hosting and they can help you with this.
Please take note the signing up via Facebook or Google skips the verification process as a user who signs up using the said social media accounts are already owning a valid email address.
The only purpose of activation is to make sure that each user of your website has a valid email address.
